Social Bookmarking at It's Best: An Introduction to Tagfoot
By Christina Mulberry
In recent years social bookmarking has become one of the primary ways of marketing an online business. They can provided internet marketers a way of staying in touch with potential customers, developing critical relationships with other marketers, growing backlinks, and virally driving their sites to the top of search results. Sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon, and del.icio.us are among some of the most popular. Recently, Tagfoot entered upon the scene. Tagfoot offers an number of interesting features for those working to promote their website or online business. -- Ease of use for beginners For anyone new to social bookmarking, the Web 2.0 world can be confusing and mistakes can result in being ignored at least and banned at worst. Tagfoot however offers a very useful set of tutorials, some of them in video form, to guide new users in how to make use of Tagfoot's various features and how to succeed within the Tagfoot site. -- Privacy Tagfoot gives users the ability to determine how much privacy they want. From the bookmarks, news articles, and videos that are added, to the comments made, or the friends one has, everything can be private. -- Income Tagfoot also offers a revenue sharing program. Users can sign up for a 50/50 Adsense revenue share and can even get a 50/25/25 share for those individuals they recruit. -- Syndication Keeping up with Tagfoot friends, messages, and more can be quite simple with the RSSfoot. Tagfoot's syndication allows you to feed your bookmarks and more into your other webpages easily. It's a good fit for Squidoo lenses, FriendFeed, blogs, and Twitter as well. There are more interesting features to explore but these are the highlights. Where Tagfoot will fall within the hierarchy of social bookmarking sites is not yet known, but with it's more advanced features it seems destined to be a very popular option.
