Finding an Affiliate Program
Once an individual has decided they want to start a home business with affiliate marketing, they will need to choose affiliate marketing programs. Choosing programs that offer products that you are interested in or knowledgable about makes marketing much easier. However, there are of course other factors. For instance, identifying products that are in demand and those that don't have excessive competition can also be important considerations. Once a niche is selected, the work of finding an affiliate program with a specific company begins. Searching for affiliate programs can be done in several ways. Here are a few simple tips: 1. Search through the websites of programs such as Linkshare.com, Clickbank.com, Google Affiliate Nework, CommissionJunction.com, or others for advertisers within the choosen niche. These websites run the affiliate programs for hunderds, and indeed thousands, of retailers. Most affiliate marketers sign up with several retailers. 2. Do a search online for affiliate programs. To do this, simply enter in the type of niche you've chosen and "affiliate program". For instance, if you choose to sell electronics you would type in "electronics+affiliate program". The results of the search should include a number of options. 3. If you are aware of a retailer that you would particularly like to work with, you can go to their site and search the home page to see if there is a link for "affiliates" or an "affiliate program". Some retailers do run their own programs versus going through some of the larger affilate sites such as LinkShare or ClickBank. |
